After a long season of prayer and planning, we’re excited to announce plans for Risen Christ Fellowship (RCF), a new church plant in Philadelphia, PA in 2015. In Matthew 16:18, Jesus promised to build His church. Through His atoning death on the cross, He purchased that church with His own blood (Acts 20:28). After His glorious resurrection, Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples in all nations, strengthened by His promise to be with them until the end of the age (Matt. 28:19-20).

In recent years, there has been a surprising work of God among a certain contingent of people. In cities around the U.S., God has raised up a generation of men and women who identify with contemporary urban culture and its numerous influences, while at the same time embracing the Christian faith as articulated in Scripture and communicated in the great theological works that came out of the Protestant Reformation. This marriage of theology and urban culture has produced a people who are both serious about Scripture and eager to see the truth of God’s Word impact inner-city areas where this truth is often lacking. Convinced that the church is God’s vehicle through which He has determined to display His manifold wisdom from generation to generation (Eph. 3:10), we believe that there can never be too many God-glorifying, Christ-centered, Bible-saturated, gospel-preaching, people-loving churches! By the grace of God, this is what RCF will be.
