Evangelism

RCF exists to proclaim Christ’s promises and make disciples of all nations, and we intentionally want to reach beyond our local church community, to promote the Gospel of Jesus to the greater community of Germantown, our city, and throughout the world.

Local Evangelism & Outreach

Germantown is a historic neighborhood in Northwest Philadelphia, rich with cultural diversity and deep roots in our city's history. Philadelphia has over 1.6 million residents, with Germantown contributing 31,638 of them and a median household income of $37,322. Our neighborhood is an integral part of Philly's vibrant urban landscape.
The area is known for its mix of cultures, offering a blend of long-time residents and newcomers from a broad ranger of backgrounds, with significant African American, Caribbean, and Hispanic populations, alongside smaller groups of Asian and white residents, which makes it one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the city.

Religious Make-Up: In Germantown, there is a rich tapestry of faith traditions. From longstanding African American churches to newer congregations of various denominations, including Baptists, Pentecostals, and Catholics, as well as a growing Muslim community and nearby mosque that draws 800–1,200 people each week. There are also those who identify with no religious affiliation but are open to spiritual exploration.

Evangelism and outreach in our neighborhood: RCF, in many ways, functions as a local mission. We throw block parties, host open-house community dinners, partner with ministries to provide door-to-door medical care, hold clothing drives, set up pop-up food banks, and even go caroling during Christmas time. We desire for every member to live out the Great Commission—whether they’re hanging out on their block or at a local park, inviting neighbors to dinner, working their jobs, or discovering creative opportunities to share the Gospel.

If you desire to serve locally, please email us and let us know. We would love to help connect and equip you.

Global Missions

The good news of Jesus is a message for the globe, so we want to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
In the future, we hope to be able send church planters to help start healthy churches in other parts of the world. Currently, we support global missions through prayer and giving and cooperating with like-minded churches and organizations that are committed to proclaiming the Gospel all over the world.

We partner with ACME Fellowship of Churches in order to unite and mobilize like-minded churches to fund pastors, church planters, missionaries, and other projects around the world.
