RCF Fellowship Groups

What is a Fellowship Group?

Fellowship Groups at RCF exist to cultivate Christian fellowship in our midst for the sake of growth in our discipleship and our progress in sanctification. (1 Thess 4:3, 2 Thess 2:13)
We believe that God has purposed his church to play a vital role in these areas of the Christian life and RCF’s fellowship groups are one of the ways we as a church seek to be intentional about doing one another spiritual good and encourage one another in following after the Lord Jesus.

Why Fellowship Groups?

Fellowship groups do not exist to be purely bible study groups, nor do they function as mere topic-based support groups. Instead, fellowship groups allow for and encourage the congregation to disciple one another in fellowship that is informed by Scripture, marked by prayer for one another, whilst seeking to mutually encourage one another in our pursuit of growing in Christlikeness.
We understand that “life on life” type opportunities for discipleship and care are difficult—if not impossible—to accomplish all during our main worship gathering on the Lord’s Day, when the whole church is gathered. We think it is therefore helpful to think of Fellowship Groups as a place where the “scattered” church gathers for discipleship and care outside of the main gathering.
