What to Expect

This is the most important gathering of the week for the RCF congregation. Our services are simple, marked by thoughtful Bible meditation, heartfelt singing, and warm fellowship. To help visitors understand how we gather as a church here is a description of our weekly services.

What are Sundays like?

Because we believe the Bible is the only enduring foundation (Is. 40:8), we try to base every element of service on God's Word. We try to read the Bible, sing the Bible, pray the Bible, see the Bible through the visible ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper, live the Bible and preach the Bible.

Our services tend to be pretty simple.
  • We pray, because we believe that God is our provider and that He desires us to seek after Him.
  • We sing, because God is worthy of our praise.
  • We preach God’s Word, because we believe that God gives life through His Scriptures.
  • We proclaim the gospel, because it is the message of salvation for those who don’t know God and the message of strength for those who do know Him.
  • We talk a lot about Jesus, because He is the only hope for the world.

FAQs

Answers to common questions you might have.
How long is service?
Our services usually run about 2hrs.
What do I wear?
We’re pretty laid back so wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. We don’t care if you’re wearing shorts or suits. Come as you are!
What about kids?
We’re glad you asked! Children of all ages are welcome in our main service, and families generally stick together. However, we also offer childcare for children ages 2 and under.

Kids four years old and up are part of the worship service. Instead of separating families for worship, we want our kids to grow up watching older saints sing, pray, read, and listen as children learn to do so themselves. We know it can be challenging with little ones, but we want to consider it family time. We also provide Kids Bulletins to help our children track through the service.
Where should I park?
Mostly everyone uses street parking for our gatherings. There's usually plenty available no more than a block from our building.
